Make-A-Wish Singapore: Fulfilling Wishes For Ill Children

Make-A-Wish Singapore is an organisation that grants wishes to children between three and 18 years old facing life-threatening medical illnesses. To date, the organisation has granted over 1,300 life-changing wishes in Singapore. These wishes have ranged from flying a plane to meeting a Formula One racing driver.

One beneficiary of the funds raised from the Santa Run For Wishes work in 2015 was 11-year-old Imranul, an aspiring bird doctor was given special one-time access to Jurong Bird Park’s Avian Hospital. He received his own keeper uniform, complete with a ‘Junior Vet’ badge, and was allowed to hand-feed the birds and learnt how to bandage a broken wing, making it an unforgettable wish day.

This year, Make-A-Wish Singapore hopes to raise $750,000 from the Santa Run For Wishes for its works. This is up from its target of $700,000 in 2016.
