How does a mass karaoke session as one nation sound to you? You can do so at the upcoming event “Sing Together, Singapore!” which is happening on Saturday, April 25 at exactly 7.55 pm. Organisers intend to rally Singaporeans to show our support and appreciation for our healthcare and migrant workers with a rendition of Home.
Sing “Home” at Home, 25 April
The song of choice is an ever-popular NDP favourite. Local celebs like Dick Lee, Taufik Batisah, Desmond Tan, Felicia Chin, Rebecca Lim and Vernetta Lopez will be taking part in the event. They will be backed by the 900 members of the Voices Of Singapore choir.
Those at home are encouraged to take to the balconies and windows to sing along, wave a torchlight and even record yourselves. Everyone who participates can then upload the clip of their own performance to social media with the hashtags #singtogetherSG, #SingaporeTogether and #stayhomeforSG.
Selected entries will be featured on a special music video that will be shown later that same night at 10.30 pm.
