There is a shaded fitness corner with inclusive exercise equipment for all ages and abilities.
Tampines Boulevard Park (West)
Here’s a look at what you can find at Tampines Boulevard Park (West).
Nature Playgarden Playground
The nature playgarden at Tampines Boulevard Park west can be found close to Block 633.
One prominent feature of the playground is a slide which has a design inspired by a dragon head. This is reflected in the horns at the top of the structure at the top of the slide.
Other play elements include a second green slide. This one makes use of the terrain, or more specifically the slope, found as part of the nature playgarden’s elevated garden.
There is also a climbing wall with a rope for kids to use to get up. They can also make their way up with the aid of the colourful handholds embedded into the planks. To the left of the ramp, there are also wooden logs set into the ground for kids to use to get up the slope as well.
Raised platforms act as stepping stones for kids.
Sand play area with swings and a rock wall
The Tampines Boulevard Park West sand play area is inspired by the former Tampines sand quarries. It has a rock climbing wall that kids can go bouldering on.
One of the features at the sand play area is a manual excavator where they can imagine that they are quarrying away like in days past. This all allows for experiential learning where children gain a multi-sensory experience by playing freely amidst nature.
Elevated Garden
An elevated garden is located within the nature playgarden and it features biodiversity attracting plants. This serves as a haven for butterflies, bees, and birds, and integrates natural elements into play time.
Thoughtfully, there is a shelter with a water fountain built into one side of the elevated garden.
Children’s Cycling Track
Another colourful feature at Tampines Boulevard Park West is a 60 metre tri-colour mini track designed for young ones to pedal around.
It features bright yellow signs reminding riders to wear their helmets, instilling good and safe riding habits.
Rocky Bioswales
Rocky bioswales have been integrated along the park’s perimeter, to manage stormwater runoff by capturing and absorbing rainwater while contributing to the park’s natural environment.
Outdoor Fitness Area
The outdoor fitness area at Tampines Boulevard Park West has exercise equipment that are suitable for the young and old and aims to promote physical activity and well-being.
