Located under the HDB blocks at Everton Park, Tina’s Cafe feels inviting and homely. It’s menu is also unpretentious, offering a mix of familiar favourites like kaya butter toast, nasi lemak and traditional kopi, alongside western-style all day breakfast sets, cakes and pastries.
Tina’s Cafe by Edith Patisserie
Tina’s Cafe is opened by the folks behinds Edith Patisserie. It is named in memory of co-founder Shaun Ong’s mother Tina who passed away in 2024 after a fight with cancer.
During her battle with cancer, Tina would find solace in the simple joys of kopi and kaya toast. “To my mum, these meals were a comforting hug, and a reminder of the little pleasures that make life beautiful,” shared Shaun.

Tina’s Cafe Review
We had the Tina’s Breakfast Platter ($14.80). This was a pretty big plate that comes with a choice of either sunny side up or scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, ham, chicken sausage, baked beans, hash browns, toasted bread and mixed greens. It is sure to fill you up. We only wished that it had some jam to go along with the toast.
The Chicken Karaage Nasi Lemak ($8.90) impressed us with the flavourful-ness of the rice. It had a rich taste that paired well with the chilli. In addition to the chicken karaage pieces, ikan bilis and peanuts, we also enjoyed the serving of achar that came with the dish which provided a nice touch to the dish.
While the Homemade Kaya Butter Toast Set is one of the signature items at Tina’s Cafe, we chose to try the Orh Nee Butter Toast Set ($6.50) instead. In addition to the toast, the set includes soft boiled eggs and a choice of hot kopi or teh (add on 50 cents for the iced versions).
The Orh Nee Butter Toast came with a generous slab of butter, making the toast taste like an indulgent treat. We even saw someone else order a Pandan Waffle with orh nee filling and it looked good – something for us to try the next time we pay a visit to Tina’s Cafe.
