Celebrate Chinese New Year with Popular Dishes at Din Tai Fung
Din Tai Fung’s classic favourites are surely not to be missed, with a variety of dishes that will satisfy the appetites of all ages. Below are some items which you may add to your Chinese New Year meal.
One of the top dishes on the menu, Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao is a juicy and delectable dish that never disappoints. For a vegetarian option, the steamed vegetarian dumplings are also a good choice to add to your meal.
Although served as an appetiser, the Oriental Salad in Special Vinegar Dressing is a favourite of mine. The glass noodles and julienned vegetables soaks up the special vinegar sauce, which leaves me wanting more after every bite. The Stir-Fried Dou Miao is also a classic favourite that has crunchy and well-seasoned vegetables that complements every meal.
A dish favoured by both kids and adults alike, Fried Rice with Shrimps and Eggs is definitely a staple dish, with generous pieces of peeled prawns topped on fluffy fried rice. The hot and sour soup is also a wonderful option, as the soup comes mixed with a myriad of ingredients, with a perfect balance of spicy and sour flavours mixed in.
Sliced Duck in Crispy Spring Onion Pastry is definitely a dish to be added to the list. The pastry is filled with a tender slice of duck wrapped in a crispy crust.
For a sweet option, the Steamed Custard Buns will be a fantastic choice to wrap up the meal. The bun oozes out with a mouth-watering sweet custard sauce when cut open.
