This year, Tulipmania 2025 at Gardens by the Bay takes visitors on a journey through the eastern reaches of Türkiye where wild tulips blooms and also explores the various ancient civilisations that have shaped the country and its history.

Tulipmania 2025: Tulips and History’s Timeless Treasures in the Flower Dome
Entering into the Flower Dome, you will first be greeted by a display of a hot air balloon. This photo spot provides a foretaste of the display at the Flower Field that will take you to varying parts of Türkiye and its rich past.
This year, Tulipmania is a showcase of fascinating history with roots in Türkiye – some of which you may not already know about.
Making your way down to the Flower Field, the display that will catch you eye is a six-metre-tall recreation of the legendary Trojan horse from the Battle of Troy. The city of Troy is located in modern day Türkiye and the infamous Trojan Horse was what enemy soldiers used to smuggled into the city.
You can walk under the Trojan horse and take a picture with it against the backdrop of tulips at the Flower Dome.
For Tulipmania 2025, there are 65,000 tulips of 35 varieties on display at the Flower Dome. This include the Tulipa ‘Fire Wings’, a lily-flowered tulip with goblet-shaped blooms and recurved, pointed tepals and the Tulipa acuminata (or the Istanbul tulip) which is a centuries-old cultivar from Türkiye, known for its six slender, dagger-like scarlet and yellow tepals.
Ancient Civilisations of Türkiye
You can admire the tulips as you carry on exploring the display at the Flower Field.
There is a section that is inspired by the mysterious site of Göbekli Tepe. Still being excavated in Eastern Türkiye till today, it is said to date back 12,000 years.
You can also admire mosaics decorated with tulip motifs.
You can also walk amongst examples of Turkish architecture, which have been layered down over time by the various civilisations that have occupied the land that is now the country of Türkiye.
There are also numerous displays that feature the fine works found in Türkiye, including beautifully decorated plates and carpets.
Additional Activities at Tulipmania 2025
There are various other activities that will be held during Tulipmania 2025.
On Friday and Saturday, 18 and 19 April 2025, discover the mesmerising beauty of Ebru, the traditional Turkish art of marbling, in a special workshop led by renowned artist Abdulvahap Ertekin at the South American Garden, Flower Dome. This hands-on workshop offers participants a rare opportunity to learn the intricate skills of Ebru, from creating swirling patterns to transferring them onto paper. Spaces are limited and there are sessions at 9 am – 9.30 am, 9.45 am – 10.15 am, 10.30 am – 11 am, 11.15 am – 11.45 am, 12 pm – 12.30 pm.
On Saturday, 19 April 2025, 2 pm to 5 pm, join in Sensory Moments – Tulipmania, a 10-minute session at three stations at the Flower Dome (South American Garden, Mediterranean Garden & Flower Field) where you can see, touch and smell the tulips.
On Saturday and Sunday, 26 and 27 April, create your own tulip mosaic art piece that doubles up as a coaster using an assortment of vibrant-coloured mini glass tiles. There is an activity fee of $15 for this craft activity.
