Urban Tactical SG is a Singapore foam blastering group that organises regular foam blaster games that are open to all.
What are foam blasters? The most well-known brand of foam blasters is Nerf. However, there are other brands such as Dart Zone available as well. The foam blasters shoot out darts made from soft sponge materials and have rubber tips.

Since 2017, Urban Tactical SG has been regularly organising foam blaster games around Singapore.

These include kid and family-oriented games that are open to 5-year-olds and above. These games are free and usually organised at parks all around Singapore. Amongst the parks where the games have been conducted in the past are Tampines Sun Plaza Park, Sengkang Riverside Park and Zhenghua Nature Park.
Each session typically lasts for around two hours and consists of multiple games. Each game lasts around five minutes with two teams blasting it out at each other.
Different types of games keep the sessions interesting. For example, some games may involve teams competing against each other or playing “dog and bone” where individual players rush to complete an objective.
It is a chance to get in some exercise and to build camaraderie with others.
in addition to the family-friendly games, Urban Tactical SG also has more advanced games that are only open to those who are 17 years old and older.
What is Required to Join an Urban Tactical SG Foam Blaster Game?
Players who wish to join an Urban Tactical SG game are encouraged to bring along their own foam blasters. For the safety of all players, these foam blasters should not be modified or enhanced. Occasionally, foam blasters may be provided.
The other mandatory piece of equipment is eye protection.
The other important thing to bring along to the game is the right outlook. According to Urban Tactical SG, its mission is to ‘build a strong sense of Camaraderie and “Kampong Spirit” among players while spreading awareness of this activity in Singapore.’
The group aims to create a “friendly, fun, civil & cohesive gaming environment for all players to enjoy the sports.”
