Running every Friday and Saturday from 13 December 2024 to 1 January 2025, including public holidays, Verandah’s buffet dinners offer a memorable way to celebrate the season. With delights for everyone—ranging from lavish seafood platters to a lively taco station—the buffet is a treat for all ages.

Priced at $108++ per adult and $50++ per child, the experience also includes a complimentary prosecco or juice, adding a little holiday sparkle to each meal.

 

Highlights of Christmas Buffet at Verandah Restaurant

Among the highlights is the single-serve Sharing Seafood Platter, featuring Boston lobster, tiger prawns, and mussels, served with either a Cajun butter sauce or chilli crab sauce, plus crispy mantou to soak up every last bit of flavour. It’s a favourite that brings a true taste of the ocean to your Christmas celebration.

Snow Crab Legs on Ice

Adding to the seafood extravaganza, the buffet’s Seafood on Ice selection includes everything from prawns and oysters to a festive touch—Snow Crab Legs on Ice.

Live Taco Station

The Live Taco Station is another popular addition, offering a hands-on experience for guests. With fillings like smoked wagyu beef, pulled pork shoulder, and marinated barramundi, there’s something for every taste.

Our favourite? The pulled pork filling, which stands out for its tenderness and flavour, making it a must-try.

As for the stars of the buffet, there are a variety of meats and hot sides that are thoughtfully curated for Verandah’s buffet dinners. The Crackling Pork Porchetta with truffle and herb stuffing, Honey Grain Mustard Glazed Bone-In Gammon Ham, and Signature Citrus Brine Rotisserie Chicken are just a few of the roasts that make this feast memorable and encapsulate the classic flavours of Christmas.

Adding to the variety are Verandah’s signature roasts like the Tajima Wagyu Rump Cap and the classic Turkey Breast Roulade with Chicken Gravy—beloved festive staples that bring a touch of elegance to the table.

As a seafood lover, we also really enjoyed the baked fish with citrus butter. Perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of crisp and the sauce was a perfect pair with the white fish. 

Meat Loaf Wellington with pistachio and chestnut stuffing

There’s also the indulgent Meat Loaf Wellington with pistachio and chestnut stuffing, which comes wrapped in buttery pastry for an added layer of richness. Each roast can be paired with seasonal sides, from Butter-Glazed Brussel Sprouts with Crispy Pancetta to Grilled Seasonal Asparagus and creamy Potato & Époisses Cheese Gratin.

Overall, we really enjoyed the thoughtful and diverse spread that allows each guest to find something they love, making it a wonderful way to come together and celebrate the holiday season with family.

What’s a Christmas meal without dessert? Verandah’s dessert station brings holiday favourites to life with a touch of sweetness for everyone. The Red Velvet Yule Log Cake and Gingerbread Tiramisu are among the popular choices, along with traditional Spanish Turron de Jijona and Salted Caramel Panettone.

Also part of the dessert section is the tiered chocolate fountain! We were lucky to have the chocolate flavour of choice on the day be Matcha White Chocolate. They also offer a variety of fruits and biscuits to drizzle beneath the decadent fountain.

 

Festive Takeaway Options to Celebrate at Home

Tajima Wagyu Rump Cap

For families planning a Christmas gathering at home, Verandah’s festive takeaway roasts bring a special touch to any celebration. Available from 1 December 2024 to 1 January 2025, these roasts include Verandah’s Stuffed Rotisserie Chicken with brioche stuffing, ideal for up to four people, and the flavourful Crackling Pork Porchetta with truffle mash, perfect for six. The 75°C Slow-Roasted Argentinian Ribeye, seasoned with mustard and herbs, makes an impressive centrepiece for any holiday table and serves up to six as well.

Each takeaway order includes complementary sides, and if you order two or more roasts, you’ll also receive a complimentary salad and fruit cake. Advance orders are required at least three working days before the collection date, ensuring each dish is made fresh for your celebration. Guests can place their orders online or visit the restaurant to pick up their festive spreads.
