Vibe Hotel Singapore Orchard recently opened on 3 November 2022. Located off-Orchard Road, at the less-often visited residential enclave of Mount Elizabeth, Vibe Hotel Singapore offers its guests warm hospitality and a quiet retreat.
The Vibe brand is from Australia where it has locations in seven cities. Vibe Hotel Singapore is the first Vibe Hotel in Asia and managed by Far East Hospitality.
We recently stayed at Vibe Hotel Singapore where we were warmly welcomed by the friendly Front Desk staff on arrival. We later found out that this cheery style is a signature of the Vibe brand, a way of conveying the casual and warmth of Australian hospitality to guests.

Vibe Hotel Singapore Room
We stayed in a Deluxe Room. The room had a contemporary feel with earthy brown hues accentuated by the flora art that hung on the wall. We also liked the small touches in the room, like a potted plant that brought a hint of nature into the room.
The Deluxe Room makes use of open racks instead of cupboards. This gives the room a modern touch and made it feel larger. The open racks worked well for us as it allowed easy access to our belongings within the room, especially since it was a short-term stay.
Out of our window, we got a view of the Goodwood Park and Claymore Hill district.
Deluxe Rooms come with a bathtub and Australian O&M products, made from native Australian ingredients and minerals.
There are a total of 256 rooms at Vibe Hotel Singapore. In addition to the Deluxe Room, there is also the Superior Room.
The Premier Room is especially popular with long-term stayers.
Premier Room guests have the option to top-up a fee to get access to the Vibe Pantry on the first floor. This is a well-stocked snack bar with drinks and munchies, making it convenient for Premier Room guests to get whatever they need without having to leave the hotel.
For families, Vibe Hotel Singapore’s Family Room offers three beds with the option to add on a fourth. Some of these Family Rooms even have connected rooms, allowing up to six people to stay in adjoining rooms.
Facilities at Vibe Hotel Singapore
Vibe Hotel Singapore’s outdoor pool can be found on the first floor. While you probably won’t be able to swim laps in it, the pool is more than enough if you just want have a soak or splash about for some fun.
There is a 24-hour gym for “any time” workouts too.
Dinner at ROOS
Dinner was at ROOS, the hotel’s all-day dining destination. The restaurant’s menu is an eclectic mix of western items as well as local dishes.
For appetisers, we had the Crispy Honey Prawn Dumpling. These crispy fried pockets of prawn were served with a side of mentaiko sauce with salmon roe. It made us wonder why we had never thought of the pairing before.
The Cream of Wild Mushroom was served in a bread bowl and was deliciously thick with a dash of truffle oil. Another soup we tried was the Classic English Clam Chowder, which was baked with a filo pastry cap. Both of these were extremely satisfying and a great start to the meal.
One of ROOS’ specialities is the Braised Pork Belly Bun. However, instead of the typical steamed leaf bun that most Chinese-style braised pork belly is served with, the ROOS’ version comes wrapped in a mantou as a sandwich. The mantou was a bit harder than we would have liked it to be but that didn’t stop us from finishing it all up.
Next, from the grill we had the Barramundi Fillet. It was perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside and moist inside. It came with a side of basil cream, an aromatic sauce that added a wonderful burst of flavour to the delicate fish.
The Truffle Gnocchi is a must-try for those who love a rich, creamy sauce.
The Crispy Mee Sua Seafood, from the Asian side of the menu, looked promising with large scallops, prawns, fish and a rich egg sauce. Unfortunately, we found the gravy overwhelmingly saltish.
Vibe Hotel Singapore Breakfast
Breakfast, or brekkie, is done slightly differently at Vibe Hotel Singapore. Served at ROOS, instead of a typical buffet, breakfast is served at the table.
There is the choice of a full breakfast, avocado toast, nasi lemak, chicken congee or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon in the bagel. We had the nasi lemak and it was more than sufficient to fuel up the upcoming day.
All options comes with mini pastries and yoghurt, chilled juices and hot beverages.
Staying at Vibe Hotel Singapore
Vibe Hotel Singapore is not your typical large Orchard Road hotel. Tucked away at Mount Elizabeth, the hotel feels a lot more intimate and we can imagine that you would get to know the staff working there if you stay for a couple of days.
It is just six to eight minutes walk away from Paragon and the bustle of Singapore’s shopping street but yet it feels a world away.
