On Saturday, 10 August 2019, a mobile column of armoured vehicles will make its way around Singapore’s heartlands as part of the National Day 2019 celebrations.
Starting from the Marina Bay area, the mobile column featuring more than 60 SAF and Home Team vehicles including tanks, armoured carriers and support vehicles will be roaring to the heartlands in conjunction with National Day 2019. Some of the highlights of the mobile column will include the Leopard 2SG main battle tank, the TERREX and the Light Strike Vehicles.
The vehicles are expected to depart from around 2.30 pm from the F1 Pit Building and fan out to five heartland locations across the Singapore. The final destinations for the vehicles are Jurong East (next to Westgate), Woodlands (close to Causeway Point), Bishan (close to Junction 8), Punggol (in the vicinity of Waterway Point) and Wisma Geylang Serai.
They are expected to reach their destinations by 6.45 pm in the evening.

Jurong-bound National Day Mobile Column (South West Route)
The Jurong-bound mobile column will make its way down New Bridge Road and head towards Bukit Merah Central. It will then proceed towards Commonwealth Avenue West, past Clementi Mall, down Clementi Road and along Jalan Jurong Kechil. It will go past Bukit Batok Nature Park, eventually making its way to Jurong East via the Jurong East Flyover.
Key checkpoints along the route include Clementi Mall at 3.25 pm and Blk 298 Bukit Batok Street 22 at 6 pm.
Bishan-bound National Day Mobile Column (Central-North West Route)
From the F1 Pit Building, the Bishan-bound National Day mobile column will head up past Lavender MRT, along Balestier Road and Thomson Road, make a detour to Toa Payoh HDB Hub, before arriving at Junction 8.
Woodlands-bound Mobile Column (Central-North West Route)
The Woodlands-bound mobile column will follow the same route as the Bishan-bound convoy and then proceed onwards along Marymount Road to Ang Mo Kio. It will pass Ang Mo Kio at Jubilee Square and continue along Lentor Avenue to reach Yishun. Heading past Yishun MRT station, it will pass Sembawang MRT and follow along Woodlands Avenue 7 to wind up around Causeway Point.
Key checkpoints along the route include Jubilee Square at 3 pm, Yishun MRT at 5.15 pm and Sembawang MRT at 5.25 pm.
Punggol-bound Mobile Column (North East Route)
The National Day mobile column heading to Punggol will head past North Bridge Gardens, Geylang Bahru MRT and Potong Pasir MRT on the way towards Nex. Its route will then take it past Kovan Heartland Mall, along Sengkang Central and past Compass One before arriving at the area next to Waterway Point in Punggol.
A key checkpoint along the route is Blk 513 Hougang Avenue 10 at 4.15 pm.
Wisma Geylang Serai-bound Mobile Column (South East Route)
The mobile column heading to the east will depart the F1 Pit Building and head down Sims Avenue towards New Upper Changi Road. It will make its way along Sim Avenue, past Bedok, Our Tampines Hub and Tampines Central CC before heading back westward where it will pass by Kaki Bukit MRT station on the way back to Wisma Geylang Serai.
Key checkpoints along the route include Bedok Town Square at 3.40 pm and Our Tampines Hub at 4.10 pm.
All the timings are estimates. A live stream will also broadcast the location and progress of the mobile column.
