Chinese New Year is a time of joy and celebration, and there’s no better place to embrace the festive spirit than at the Singapore Zoo and other magnificent wildlife parks in the country.

Head down to Singapore Zoo and have a Chinese New Year that combines the wonders of wildlife with the rich traditions of Chinese culture for the Chinese New Year and Year of the Dragon.

During the period from 9 to 25 February 2024, the zoo presents an array of Chinese New Year-themed activities for visitors to enjoy.

One highlight is the Star Animal Enrichment, Feeding, and Keeper Talk specifically curated for the Year of the Dragon.

Head over to the Komodo Dragon Exhibit in the Reptile Garden at 3 pm on 10 and 17 February for the enrichment session and on 11 and 18 February for the feeding and keeper talks.

Witness the Komodo Dragon in action as it engages with its enrichment activities under the skilled guidance of the dedicated keepers.

Over at River Wonders, the Chinese Water Dragon is the star animal. There will be feeding and keeper talks on 10, 11, 17 & 18 February at 3 pm.

At Night Safari, the Star Animal is the Indian Gharial and the Southern Cassowary is the Star Animal at Bird Paradise.  

Avail yourself of the unique opportunity to learn fascinating facts about these awe-inspiring creatures and observe them up close. The enrichment session lasts for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, starting at 3:00pm. It’s an experience not to be missed!

Also look out for festival animal presentations during Splash Safari & Rainforest Fights Back at Singapore Zoo, Once Upon a River at River Wonders and Wings of the World at Bird Paradise.

There will also be All About Dragons educational booths at the Singapore Zoo Entrance along with ZOO-diac Predictions for visitors to read at the four wildlife parks. 

On 10 and 11 February, catch the auspicious dragon dance at Bird Paradise and River Wonders entrances to usher in the Year of the Dragon.  


Chinese New Year Promotions

Make your Chinese New Year celebration at the Singapore Zoo even more special with the exciting promotions offered during this festive period.

Locals can take advantage of discounted admission rates and there is also a Long-evity Lunch Special from 10 to 12 February. Experience the wonders of the zoo and the joyful atmosphere of Chinese New Year.
