Lasers, 3D animation, highly pressurized water jets, fireworks and extensive pyrotechnics feature in Sentosa’s new show along Siloso Beach.
Premiered on the 17 June 2014, Wings of Time retains the high production value of its predecessor, Songs of the Sea, with an endless barrage of intricate lighting displays and over-the-top pyrotechnic extravaganzas. The narrative for Wings of Time is more contemporary compared to its predecessor and follows the story of two teenagers, Rachel and Felix, who help a bird-like creature, Shahbaz, find its way home.
Shahbaz, the bird-like protagonist, is reminiscent of a phoenix. Together with it, audiences are taken on a journey that cross several panoramic vistas – from the Industrial Revolution and the Silk Road eras, to the African Savanna and underwater depths.
The show includes multimedia effects, a catchy musical score, and live performances. It took a 150-person strong production team two years to conceptualize and develop the multi-sensory show.
