World of Bricks at Pandan Gardens

Taking over the space formerly occupied by Bouncy Paradise at the PeopleUp Hub in Pandan Gardens, World of Blocks is a block-themed indoor playground inspired by Minecraft and Roblox.

But even if your child isn’t a fan of these (mine aren’t), they are still sure to have a great time!

The World of Blocks Singapore: Block-themed Playground

The World of Blocks: Block-themed Playground

Step into World of Blocks and you will be greeted instantly by an astounding array of play zones constructed out of giant soft-play foam blocks in pleasing pastel hues.

True to its name, World of Blocks is, quite literally, a world of blocks, where blocks take centre stage in every play area. You will find plenty of creative play waiting within the play space at Pandan Gardens.

Kids will have a field day and be able to enjoy different forms of creative fun around the new indoor play space – a fun activity that is suitable in all sorts of weather, whether it is too sunny and hot outside or if it raining and pouring down cats and dogs.

The World of Blocks: Block-themed Playground Slides

If you’re as into numbers as my 5 year old, let’s break it down for you: World of Blocks occupies a massive 20,000 square ft space, and contains a whopping 200,000 balls, 30,000 blocks, and more than 10 slides of all sorts and varieties.

Eight Play Zones at The World of Blocks

There are eight main play zones at the World of Blocks indoor playground:

  • Mega air bubble
  • Trampoline zone – great for kids who are usually bouncing off the walls!
  • Giant slide pit and play zone
  • Builders zone – time to become a maker and create
  • Toddlers zone
  • Block maze – try to navigate your way through the various passageways
  • Flying fox
  • Foam truck obstacle

Eight Play Zones at The World of Blocks

The mega air bubble play zone is what first greets you when you enter World of Blocks. This zone features not just one but two gigantic bouncy bubbles, nestled in a pool of foam blocks. Whether you are #teambounce or #teamslide, you’ll get the best of both worlds here!

Trampoline Zone

Trampoline Zone

Want even more bouncing fun? The trampoline zone is perfect for you, featuring six super bouncy trampolines, and even some basketball hoops where you can practice some dunks. It is sure to get you and your kids jumping up and down for joy, and will help to put a spring in your step!

Giant Slide Pit

Giant Slide Pit

The giant slide pit and play zone features a large assortment of slides of different lengths and steepness.

Even the older kids are sure to get some thrills from the almost-sheer drop at the steepest slide. And old or young, who can resist diving headfirst into a massive pool of balls? This is one classic activity that anyone of any age can appreciate and dive right into!

Builders Zone

Builders Zone

The builders zone really goes to the heart of what World of Blocks is about, featuring a huge collection of giant soft-play blocks of different shapes and colours. There is even a fully-functional crane that can be used to lift and transport blocks from one area to another.

Toddler’s Zone

Toddler's Zone

The toddlers zone is perfect for little ones who might find the other areas a tad overwhelming. There are mini slides, see-saws and a sandpit, and even an adorable carousel that rotates constantly. If you have a little one with you, you can take him or her to this zone for some fun.

Block Maze

Block Maze

The block maze is constructed entirely of blocks – how fast can you find your way out of this a-maze-ing blocky puzzle? Of course, if you do love mazes, you should also check out some of the other mazes in Singapore where you can have more puzzling fun.

Flying Fox

Flying Fox

The flying fox is sure to be a hit with slightly older kids, while the foam truck obstacle behind it is a great way to expend even more energy (if there’s any left by the time you get here!).

Our Play Experience – What makes World of Blocks different?

Our Play Experience - What makes World of Blocks different?

We’ve had our fair share of fun at the various indoor playgrounds on offer in Singapore, what with the unpredictable weather outdoors and the never-ending quest to find new ways to burn my kids’ boundless energy.

But what sets World of Blocks apart from your run-of-the-mill indoor playground is its block-themed setup.

World of Blocks pit

We were very impressed with the creative use of blocks in every aspect of play, from the giant foam truck constructed entirely of blocks (while containing blocks which double up as the obstacles within), to the giant foam block pit (where blocks serve to cushion your fall), to all the block structures which double up as play structures as well.

Playing with blocks

In particular, my LEGO-loving 5 year old really enjoyed the builders zone, where he literally immersed himself in a sea of blocks. After the physical exertion of the other play zones, this gives kids a chance to cool down while engaging in some creative play.

Block castle

The extensive use of soft-play blocks to create each zone also makes it safe for even the littlest ones. I was happy to give my toddler free reign to climb and explore, knowing that any tumbles or falls would be cushioned by the soft foam blocks.
