Yishun Pond Park Therapeutic Garden, located at the edge of Yishun Pond, is one of two new therapeutic gardens that have opened in the north of Singapore.
Yishun Pond Park Therapeutic Garden: A Space for Both General Visitors and Hospital Outpatients
Designed in close consultation with Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Yishun Pond Park Therapeutic Garden not only provides a quiet contemplative space but also includes features that cater to both general visitors and hospital outpatients.
Located across on the other side of the pond from Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, next to the game courts, the Yishun Pond Park Therapeutic Garden is 1,900 square metre in size.

Exercise Bridge and Mound
One of the unique features that are exclusive to the Yishun Pond Park Therapeutic Garden is the wheelchair-accessible exercise bridge, mound therapy stairs and mound seat therapy.
These are designed to provide the elderly and patients undergoing physiotherapy a space for recovery and to strengthen their physical mobility in a natural environment.
The specially designed Exercise Bridge and Mound Therapy Stairs aims to encourage the elderly and visitors who are undergoing rehabilitation to exercise in a natural environment.
The Exercise Bridge has been designed for people with limited mobility. It slopes can be used to exercise while landing points provide a chance to rest while appreciating natural elements.
There are also screening elements to provide privacy while exercising.
Other Features of Yishun Pond Park Therapeutic Garden
In addition, there are also raised planters as well as a three-generational fitness corner at the Yishun Pond Park Therapeutic Garden.
It is equipped with with fitness equipment that offers eight levels of resistance, allowing users to control the level of challenge of their workout.
There is also a lawn space for activities with the therapeutic garden at Yishun Pond Park.
The plants are also labelled so that visitors will be able to appreciate them.
Open to everyone, Yishun Pond Park Therapeutic Garden aims to bring about restorative effects to visitors’ mental well-being and support positive recovery from physical aliment in a natural environment.
